Pavo Lilac Fable {Wrap Review}

Okay, so. I'm going to start this off by saying that this wrap is the first Pavo that I've scored at release, so I may be a little biased, just based off of the excitement of the fact that I actually scored.

Anyways.

Lilac fable is an absolutely fabulous wrap. It felt pretty floppy right out of the box (bag?), so I knew right off that it wouldn't need much breaking in. It was sold to me as a 3, and is measuring in at 135", so just a little bit long.

Post wash, the texture on this thing was AMAZING. I almost didn't want to iron it. It looked so pretty.

As far as wrapping qualities go, this wrap rocks. It totally blows Gotham Marble out of the water as far as "Michaela's favorite Pavo" goes. Fable has all of the things that I loved about Marble, and adds the things that Marble was missing.

I love my Gotham Marble, but through owning it, I've learned that I just can't appreciate the simplicity of natural colored wraps. I like the pattern on my wraps to stand out. That's part of why I buy them - to show off how pretty they are when wrapped. And I feel like with marble, I can't do that, because you can't really see the pattern (which I love) unless you're up close. Also, my marble is a size 5. Long wraps and I just don't get along. But, I've been holding onto marble, simply because I absolutely adore everything about how it wraps. It's the ultimate marshmallow wrap, making even my 27lb toddler feel weightless for extended periods of time. The stretch that it has is beautiful, and seems to add even more length to the wrap when tightened. It's got just enough grip so that it's not hard to pass over itself, but once passes are tightened and in place, they're not going anywhere. It's soft, floppy, moldable, and just perfect.

And Fable has all of those qualities. It's got enough cush that even the pickiest shoulders wouldn't complain about wearing this wrap for long periods of time. The color is absolutely beautiful. It's slightly less textured than marble, in my opinion, which would likely make it easier to wrap with for less experienced wrappers. It's wide enough that getting a seat with my arms-in 2 year old is a breeze, but not so wide that it's overwhelming for smaller babies.

Fable just came in to live with us a week ago, but it's been the only wrap we've touched since. I think it's safe to say we're having a bit of a love affair with this wrap. When you take all of the great wrapping qualities, the gorgeous color, and the amazingly satisfying feeling of scoring a Pavo at release and paying retail, it's hard not to love Lilac Fable.
